Matthew Stone: The Body Beyond
Acclaimed British photographer, sculptor, writer and shaman; Matthew Stone, has unveiled brilliant streaks of steadfast photographs, perpetuating the revelries of nude art and brume abstractions of the human physique—cunningly springing from water and air. In honour of Japanese designer; Yuima Nakazato and his spring 2012 collection, these striking images will become a part of a limited-edition art book entitled, “The Body Beyond”—the date will soon be announced after the collection is revealed.
Stone; a graduate of Camberwell Art School of London, has been braised in !WOWOW! Collectives and Dazed & Confused Magazine. Curating some of his most dramatic exhibits such as “Ritual” and “Staging Realty”. The young artist’s niche in nude photography is compared to ember shades of Richard Avedon and Nigel Tomm. The celebration of the body in black and white images, is a lustering gloom that is almost haunting and familiar to the mind yet draws a neoteric brilliance in a fresh infringement, dynametrical persuasions that’s breath taking in the gaze. Stone has also featured music for close friend Gareth Pugh and his fashion collections on the runway. This fearless young artist is at the peak to ground breaking aptitude in the arts.
